MACMED

Macedonian’s Medical Teams have reached people in need all over the U.S. and countries around the world. Macedonian gives doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals the opportunity to use their talents and love for the Lord throughout the mission field. Since 1984, our medical teams have had a total of 1,477 team members, tended to 78,815 patients, made 113,084 visits, had 3,427 professions of faith, 248,751 prescriptions filled, 8,311 teeth extracted, and 114,200 man hours were performed. In Deuteronomy 15:11, God says, “For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.” And through Macedonian Missionary Service, we will obey our Lord and tend to those in need all over the world.

Request a $3.00 Box

In the June, 2011 issue of the Macedonian Call Magazine, there was an article about the pastor of a small church in Kentucky, Bro. Eugene Tarter, issuing a challenge to the members and putting a small decorated box in the front of the church house. Then he challenged everyone to give $3.00 a week, a month, or whenever they wished. In the past nine months, this church has purchased more than $1500.00 worth of medicine, far more than the $3.00 per person per week amount that was expected.

By accepting this challenge themselves, this church has challenged others to do the same thing. If your church, Sunday School, youth group, or other group, would like to have one of these boxes that has already been decorated sent to you free of charge, please call or e-mail Macedonian’s Kentucky office at 606-677-6683 or secretary-ky@macedonianms.org. You will be surprised at what the Lord will do through you. Each three dollar gift will purchase enough medicine to treat one patient on a medical campaign (about $40.00 retail value).

Last year the Medical Team saw more than 300 people accept Christ as personal Savior, churches established and one church organized.
